RULES SUMMARY

U6 Division Rules:

1. All games will be played in a three v. three configuration.  A Size Three ball will be used for all game play. The field size will be 30 by 20 yards.  Pugg Six-Foot Goals (or suitable equivalent) will be used for games. No goalies will be used. Games will be played in four, 10 minute quarters.  There will be a two-minute break between the 1st and 2nd quarters, a five-minute break at half time, and a two-minute break between the 3rd and 4th quarters. The games will be refereed by the teams’ coaches.

2. No throw-ins.  The ball will be put into play with kick-ins played from the point where the ball went out of bounds.

3. Kick-offs, goal-kicks and corner-kicks will be played according to FIFA rules.  All opposing players must stand at least 4 yards away at the time the ball is kicked back into play.

4. No off-sides calls.

4. Fouls and Dangerous Plays: will be called by the referees and direct free kicks shall be awarded to the non-offending team.  No red or yellow cards will be issued.

U8 Division Rules

1. All games will be played in a four v. four configuration.  A Size Three ball will be used for all game play. The field size will be 40 by 30 yards.  Pugg Six-Foot Goals (or suitable equivalent) will be used for games. No goalies will be used, however, a team can have a person defend the goal, but cannot use his/her hands. Games will be played in four, 12 minute quarters.  There will be a two-minute break between the 1st and 2nd quarters, a five-minute break at half time, and a two-minute break between the 3rd and 4th quarters. The games will be refereed by the teams’ coaches.  (If numbers permit--tournament games will have actual referees)

2. Throw-ins will be used. Improper throw-ins can be retaken one time. 

3. Kick-offs, goal-kicks and corner-kicks will be played according to FIFA rules.  All opposing players must stand at least 4 yards away at the time the ball is kicked back into play.

4. No off-sides calls.

5. Fouls and Dangerous Plays: will be called by the referees and direct free kicks shall be awarded to the non-offending team.  No red or yellow cards will be issued.

U11 Division Rules:

1. All games will be played in a 9 v. 9 configuration, unless a different number is agreed to by the coaches.  (A team must have at least 7 players show up the game, otherwise the game is forfeited) A Size Four ball will be used for all game play. The field size will be 75 by 45 yards.  Goalies will be used. The penalty box will be 90 feet by 40 feet, the goal box will be 15 feet from each post by 8 feet from baseline.  Games will be played in two 25 minute halves.  There will be a five minute break at half-time.

2. Throw-ins, Kick-Offs, Goal Kicks and Corner Kicks will be played as per FIFA rules. All opposing players must stand at least 8 yards away at the time the ball is kicked back into play.

3. Off sides calls will be used.

4. Penalty kicks and Free kicks will confirm to FIFA rules. The penalty mark will be 8 yards from the midpoint between the goal posts. Kick-offs are indirect.

5. Fouls and Dangerous Plays: will be called by the referees as per FIFA rules. Coaches must coach from the sidelines.

6. No ball can be punted directly in the air by the goalkeeper from one penalty area into the opponent’s penalty area. This infraction will be punished by giving the ball to the opponent for an indirect free kick taken at the center spot of the field.

7. Coaches and team members must remain on the sidelines.  Coaches and players may not stay behind the goal lines during play.

U14 Division Rules:

1. All games will be played in a 11 v. 11 configuration, unless a different number is agreed to by the coaches. (A team must have at least 9 players show otherwise the game is forfeited). A Size Four ball will be used for all game play. Field dimensions are identical to U/11 (See above).  Goalies will be used.   Games will be played in two 30 minute halves.  There will be a five minute break at half-time.

2. Throw-ins, Kick-Offs, Goal Kicks and Corner Kicks will be played as per FIFA rules. All opposing players must stand at least 8 yards away at the time the ball is kicked back into play.

3. Off-sides calls will be used.
